As I seek your support for the position of Passaic County Sheriff, I would like to provide you with some insight into my qualifications for this very important and demanding role.
I have been married to my wife, Valerie, for over twenty years, and together, we have three children, Kathleen, John, and Andrew. I have been a life-long resident of Passaic County with many connections and deep-roots within our community. In fact, since the 1840s, when my ancestors immigrated to America, the Feenans have been proud to call Passaic County their home.
I have recently retired as a Detective Captain after a twenty-seven year law enforcement career in Passaic County with strong ties to every municipality within it. I have served in many units within the Prosecutor’s Office, including the Organized Crime Unit, Special Victims Unit, Domestic Violence Unit, Extradition and Fugitive Unit, Intelligence Unit and Counter-Terrorism Unit. I formed a number of these units from the ground up, while becoming the First Commander of the initial Passaic County Rapid Deployment Unit, utilizing every Police Department in Passaic County.
I believe my involvement in all of your communities over a successful law enforcement career, while forming and coordinating positive relationships with all levels of government makes me uniquely qualified to perform the duties of Sheriff with very high professional and ethical standards while serving the residents of Passaic County in a cost effective way.
I very much appreciate your support and confidence in me.
